World Health Organisation standards

CRADLE VSA is the first such device in the world to achieve World Health Organisation standards for use in under-resourced settings.

Newton Prize

Annual £200,000 fund, granted in recognition of excellent research and innovation solving challenges to social welfare and economic development in partner countries.

PATH award:

The CRADLE VSA has been recognised as one of the top thirty high impact innovations in global health in a PATH-led award (2015) identifying and showcasing technologies and interventions with great potential toward solving the world’s most urgent health issues. Consequently, other areas and industries are showing great interest in the device, such as its potential use in cardiovascular disease and emergency triage in conflict zones.

Science Museum

The CRADLE VSA has been adopted into the national medical archives of the Science Museum in London.
